We have two focus children each day. This is a very special job as these children get to spend lots of time working with Mrs Maasepp. It is a great way for Mrs Maasepp to get to know the children more and to discover some of the things they enjoy doing. They also get to share with the class what the were doing during investigations.
We also have a reporter. The role of the reporter is to take notes on different things that observed during investigations. They have a worksheet to fill out. Here is a copy of the reporter's worksheet.
The final job is the photographer. As the photographer it is your job to take photos of some of the things you notice during investigations. This may be photos of what other students are doing, or it may be something interesting that the photographer has noticed.
Today during investigations Maia was our photographer. She did a great job. Here are a few of the photos that she took.
At our maths station Talia and Meisha were practising reading the time from an analog clock. Talia discovered that when the big hand is pointing to the 12 it means it is an "o'clock" time. |
At another part of our maths station, a few of the students enjoyed investigating with the dice and domino tiles to practise subitising numbers up to 6. |
At one of the tables a few students were drawing their favourite character from the Possum Magic Show. Here is a picture of Ruby's fabulous drawing. |
