Broccoli Stays with Talia

Broccoli spent a few days at Talia's house. He he a great time. He really enjoyed feed Talia's guinea pig and was very grateful for the bed that Talia made for him!

Broccoli spent the last weekend at Deacon's house. He had a great time and even got to visit where Deacon's mum works!

Making spaceships with Deacon

Today in investigations I made a spaceship. I put some white bits on to make the back and used a tissue box to make the front. I get in to my spaceship from the top. I put a StarWars picture on the top of my spaceship. I put boasters on to make it fly.

Science - how we meet our needs

This Semester Kindergarten have been learning about living things and what living things need to survive. Today we looked at all the things people living in Canberra need. We discussed that for people like us in Canberra, we go to the supermarket to get food, we have a bedroom and home for shelter, and we can get water from a tap or buy it at the shops. We then discussed the traditional Ngunnawal People that lived in Canberra many years ago. We brainstormed how they would have gotten the things that they needed to survive. We decided that they would still need the same things as people do today, however they would get them in a different way. We shared that they might have gone hunting or fishing to get food, that they may use caves for shelter or build homes using mud, sticks and leaves, and that they would go to rivers or lakes to find water. This was a great way for us to learn more about the needs of living things and to think about our history and the traditional Ngunnawal people that lived here before us.

To demonstrate our learning we created posters to show the ways different people meet their needs.

Jump Jump Star

Today KBMS learnt about dance. We learnt some new dance moves and we learnt the 'Jump Jump Star' dance. We had a great time but it was very tiring.

Today I made a giraffe. I made my giraffe using boxes, toilet rolls, paper, pencils and sticky tape. I made it with Mrs Maasepp. Michael liked my giraffe. I had a great time making it!

Today I investigated a the castle with Cristian and Jack. We made a castle out of Lego. We put fire on the wall so that the goodies burn when they try to come in. We were the baddies fighting the goodies because they stole our treasure.

Broccoli stays with Mugdha

Broccoli spent the weekend at Mugdha's house. His favourite part of the weekend was cheering for Mugdha when she had her swimming lessons. He had never been swimming before and had a great time. Take a look a some of the other things Mugdha and Broccoli got up to together.

Today I investigated at the castle with Deacon. I like investigating at the castle. We built a castle and a trap. We hid some treasure in our castle in one if the sides.
